Preventing transitions unless a minimum number of items is met
You need administrator rights in Jira to perform the tasks on this page.
Using a Checklist Workflow Condition, you can prevent users from transitioning an issue unless a checklist contains a minimum number of items. If the checklist contains too few items, the button for that workflow transition will simply not appear.
To set up the condition:
Create a Checklist Workflow Condition (for details, see Setting up a Checklist Workflow Condition).
While you are configuring the condition parameters, select the checklist(s) to which the condition should be applied. If you want to apply the condition to all checklists, do not select any checklists.
For Validation type, select Number of existing items, keep Greater than or equal, and enter the minimum number of items. This tells the condition that it needs to confirm that the checklist contains at least that many items before allowing a transition to occur.
For Validated items, select All items. This will prompt the condition to count all the checklist items, not just the global items.
If desired, you can further configure your condition with conditional rules (see Setting up a Checklist Workflow Condition).
