Creating an event from Jira (Outlook Calendar)
Your Microsoft account must be connected to Jira and the Outlook Calendar integration must be enabled.
You can create a new event directly in a Jira issue, which will automatically be linked.
To create a new event in a Jira issue:
Click the + Add Event button.
In the window that appears, fill out the Create Event form. Some fields have default values, which can be edited:
Calendar contains your Microsoft account’s default calendar.
Summary contains the issue key, followed by the issue’s summary.
Description contains a link to the Jira issue.
Currently, it is not possible to create a Teams meeting link from Jira. You can add a meeting link in Outlook after creating the event.
Participants that you add will receive an email invitation.
If you change tabs in the Calendar Event window while creating an event, you will lose your changes.
Click Create. The event will be created and automatically linked to your issue.
